Why I love Montana & Rocky Mountain Country...

I grew up on the prairies. The farm fields of Manitoba, Canada, are literally flatter than a pancake. Growing up, the idea of living in the mountains never really crossed my mind. Sure I thought mountains were beautiful, but in a "on a postcard" or in a "Bob Ross painting" kind of way. They seemed inaccessible to me.

My husband on the other hand, claims he spent the better part of his twenties looking for the best ski town to live in. When he called to tell me he found it in Bozeman, Montana, I was game to check it out. We both fell in love and have lived here since 2007. It has been the ideal place to grow a business and start a family, all while being surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in the world. I now love the mountains, not only because they’re pretty to look at, but because of the endless adventures they offer.

Bozeman (and my Rocky Mountain Neighbors!) have been so welcoming of my artwork, I truly don’t know if I would have been able to grow as much as an artist and business owner anywhere else. Living here has been so inspiring, the creative juices just flow when creating new art.

"Camping" - Inspired by camping in the mountains in our own Vintage Camper - puppy included!

"Alpenglow" - a reflection of the sun setting on the Bridger Mountain Range, this view looking east across the Gallatin Valley to the mountains. 

"Dive In" - this guy is a personal favorite, inspired by the wildlife around my home here in Bozeman, Montana.
